Frequently Asked Questions

  • Will I need a pass to bring my dog to RCDB?

Yes, at Rocket City Dog Bar, we require proof of your dog's vaccinations, along with a membership or a day pass for to enter. We also have specific rules and policies in place for everyone's safety and enjoyment. Please note, if these rules are not followed, we may have to ask you and your dog to leave for the day.

  • Which vaccinations does my dog need to visit Rocket City Dog Bar?

Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella. You can check out our Plan Your Visit page for details!

  • Will I need to stay with my dog at the park?

You and your dog must stay on-site together. However, you're free to roam about the premises, whether that’s grabbing a beer or snack from the taproom, or picking up your delivery food from our entrances and exits.

  • How do I find RCDB on my Gingr App?

If you’re using the Gingr for Pet Parents App, use code 333346 when prompted. Contact info@rocketcitydogbar.com if you run into any trouble.

  • Can I come if I don't have a dog?

Absolutely! Both dogless and dog-owning patrons are welcome. We have plenty of visitors who come by just for the beer, games, and vibes. For health regulation compliance, our taproom is reserved for humans only. However, we gladly make exceptions for service dogs with the proper credentials.

  • What food and beverage options are available at RCDB?

We serve craft beer, other malt beverages. Our current non-alcoholic offerings (as of January 2024) include; Athletic NA beer (Golden and IPA), soda, water, coffee, Earl Grey tea, and hot chocolate. Additionally, we have a small food service with options for charcuterie, a hummus plate, and a chips and salsa plate.

We also encourage ordering delivery or takeout from our local area and enjoying it here with your dog!…Just don’t feed the dogs in the off-leash area.

  • Can children visit RCDB?

Yes, children are welcome! Just know that adults are responsible for anyone under 18 in their party. We advise caution with children under 13 in the off-leash area, but ultimately, entry is based on respectful behavior towards others and dogs, particularly during busy times.

  • Is there a small dog play area?

No small dog area, but we have turfed pedestals to give little dogs a boost. Our Bark Rangers are also trained to keep a closer eye on little dogs, especially when it gets busy. Future events may feature size-specific offerings!

  • Where can I park?

There is front and back parking. Front parking is provided at 2404 Clinton Ave W; back parking is located on Hicks Avenue W. The back gate is also accessible from the nearby Campus 805 parking areas.

  • Do dogs need to be spayed or neutered to visit?

Dogs ages one or older must be spayed or neutered. Contact us at info@rocketcitydogbar.com with any questions.

  • Any dog breed restrictions?

No. However, all dogs are expected to follow our behavioral guidelines and our Bark Rangers are trained to watch for this. We will ask dog owners to leave with their dog or cancel memberships if there are ongoing issues.

  • Can I bring dog food or treats to the dog park?

We only allow one-bite treats, to help minimize temptation or possessiveness among the dogs. We find this helps ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all our guests!

  • Can I bring toys to the park?

Toys are generally not allowed in the park. However, if you and your pup have the park all to yourselves, you are welcome to go wild and enjoy some solo toy time before other dogs arrive!

  • Will puppies be allowed to visit?

Yes, but only if their shots are current, and only if they over 4 months old. Exceptions may apply for future puppy events!
